Fast Peek Last Week - The State of 100T Valorant - PAX Arena Recap with Simo (@simowashere)

Your dads are back with a new show exploring #100T's VALORANT squad. This faster-paced and shorter podcast will emphasize the fan perspective over analysis, and will be a super fun time. Despite some production issues that literally appeared out of nowhere, we have an excellent time launching our first episode and are fortunate to have the already-legendary Simo (https://twitter.com/simowastaken) join us for our Neural Theft segment - where we steal a smart guy's knowledge. Community involvement is also on the table for our Incendiary segment.

This week, we grapple with 100T's rocky start in this new esport and try to suss out if this roster is a long term project or a short term way for us to capture excitement around the scene, plus analyze some of Hiko's leadership style. Simo gives us the goods on the team's agent selection and lack of variation, plus questions some of the team's structure.

100T’s Strategy Struggles - 100 Thieves LCS Spring 2023 Week 5 Recap

A win is a win, and a one and one is a one and one. But things still don’t feel all the way right at the 100 Thieves [redacted] Compound. The dads discuss how beating Team Liquid doesn’t mean quite as much as it used to, and while we were more competitive against FlyQuest, we ultimately made too many mistakes (one) and so we weren’t able to win against the dominant team. Cole and Jordan spend a lot of time breaking down the stats and eyeball test for rookies Tenacity and Busio and check them against their preseason expectations, while others suggest the blame for the team’s lackluster performance may rest with the veterans. Are we officially on the Department of Transportation’s Bad Teamfighting Team Watchlist? Azael says yes. The dads say…LISTEN AND FIND OUT! 100T Takes the Nukelear Option - 100 Thieves LCS Spring 2023 Week 6 Recap

100T made big news with their decision to fire head coach Kaas and to let Nukeduck step up as interim head LCS coach after the team turned in what is likely its worst week of League of Legends in the org’s history. Given the presence of established, outspoken veterans on the squad (who are currently underperforming expectations), a lot of fans are crying scapegoat. Jordan and Cole think through what we know and what we don’t know about the situation, and discuss the legitimacy of the changes based on the balance. They also lay out the path for the remainder of the season and realize (in real time) that this is a team that is dancing close to catastrophe - will the Nukeduck change be the Bible in the middle to make sure it’s not TOO close??? Listen here. TIMESTAMPS: 0:00:00 - Intro 0:02:37 - Last week’s games :( 0:13:35 - Kaas is out 0:34:17 - Implications for the rest of the split 0:47:39 - Listener Takes 1:19:46 - Predictions 1:23:27 - Outro ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ FOLLOW THE 100TAL

Nothing Gold Can Stay - PapaSmithy Exit Pod / 2022 Worlds Recap

Looking much better in week 2 of Worlds Groups, 100 Thieves’ invigorated performance still ultimately fell short of getting to Worlds Quarterfinals after a very close loss to RNG and Gen.G’s destruction of a corpse shortly afterwards. The boys finished their 2022 year as members of the Western 1-5 Club, but without much else to smile about. Despite the underperformance being overshadowed by NA’s general impotence on the international stage, 100T quickly reclaimed the headlines by announcing the departure of beloved GM PapaSmithy, whose Twitter statement left a few things to dissect. The 100Talk dads are here to do just that. In this episode, Cole and Jordan dedicate the pod to evaluating the PapaSmithy tenure. Checking performance against goals, the dads give their takes on the reasons for the breakup and what its implications are within 100 Thieves as an organization and for the LCS as a whole. They speculate on the future of the program and lay out the limited options in front of us,
