100 Thieves Exits Lock In Early - 100T LCS Lock In Quarterfinals Recap

Defying all predictions, expectations, and logic, 100 Thieves were promptly bounced from the LCS Lock In tournament in quarterfinals by a scrappy(???) Dignitas team. The Thieves will have to watch the rest of the tourney from home like us peasants. Despite very strong showings against some teams during the group stage, it seems there is much rust to be shaken off. The dads get together to talk about whether 100T is doing justice to their 6-man roster concept, what we learned about Ssumday and Tenacity, what’s going on with Abbedagge, and why we may need a different drafting approach for the bot lane. Plus, they answer a record number of listener questions and takes. ARE WE IN SHAMBLES PEOPLE??? Maybe. We’ll have to wait a couple of weeks to really find out. Time to 100Talk! Listen here. An Unexpected Loss and the Tendency to Overreact - 100T LCS Lock In Group Stage Recap

100T’s LCS Lock In started out as planned, but quickly took an unexpected turn with the subbing in of Tenacity and the subsequent destruction at the hands of an anemic FlyQuest squad. If the dads were in a tough position trying to draw any conclusions about the 2022 Thieves before, things just got a lot more complicated. They discuss the merits of Tenacity criticism and the strategy of a 6-man roster, as well as the meaning of a veteran Ssumday presence on a reigning LCS championship team. They also reluctantly play blame game with early missteps and field listener takes (including the return of caster records courtesy of Austin Beck!). 100Talk is already in full swing, so come on down. 100 Thieves 2022 LCS Kickoff Show

The dads are back from basking in the glow of an LCS title and a dominating Worlds victory over EDG. The holiday season gave Jordan and Cole plenty of time to think about the important questions about the upcoming season, like in which fashion 100T will win Worlds. In this pre-Lock-In episode of 100Talk, they break down whether Lock-in will be meaningful for the Thieves and the league as a whole, what the measuring stick for success is during the tournament, and reframing expectations of a winning organization. Plus, a segment in which Cole puzzles over how 100T could not possibly be considered favorites at this moment. Sounds like another fine podcast, so grab a glass of Rip It and take it alllllll in. Listen here.
