100T Battles from the Bedroom - 100 Thieves Spring 2020 LCS Week 8 Recap

This weekend’s LCS games fulfilled every non-gamer’s stereotype of esports, with matches of critical importance being played by dudes in their pajamas sitting alone in their dark rooms. 100T gave C9 a little more of a contest than they were expecting, while FlyQuest learned that they can’t social distance themselves from a good ol’-fashioned butt kicking. 100 Thieves may have done enough to save playoffs, and --dare we say it-- could contend for a top 4 playoff spot, giving them the chance for double elimination during their run. Suddenly, there’s a LOT to talk about, and Jordan and Cole are here for YOU.

TIMESTAMPS:
3:43 - 100T vs C9 (El Blahsico) 10:25 - Meteos makes the most of a suboptimal pick, the team keeps trying 14:52 - The classic Ryoma: starts slow, shows up mid/late 21:00 - 100T vs FLY 24:33 - The 0/2/0 Ssumday show 28:19 - Ryoma’ shock(wave) and awe display 34:25 - Stunt’s better game; what does it mean for his split overall? 40:52 - @ryanbdavison asks how we assess bot lane and we talk (for the first time this split?) about Cody Sun 52:07 - Statimstic: who has the best mid/late game rating, and who has the second best? (spoiler: your guess is wrong) General topics 56:11 - We tried some weird and… exciting? stuff this weekend with the split on the line. What do we make of that? 1:01:47 - Was this Scrims Ryoma vs Stage Ryoma? Bonus: Ryoma is winning over fans. Is it sudden or has this been coming? Next week and beyond 1:10:47 - Playoffs (!!): Scenarios for us to get in. 1:18:52 - Week 9 Predictions 1:25:04 - Jordan rallies the troops

100T Takes the Nukelear Option - 100 Thieves LCS Spring 2023 Week 6 Recap

100T made big news with their decision to fire head coach Kaas and to let Nukeduck step up as interim head LCS coach after the team turned in what is likely its worst week of League of Legends in the org’s history. Given the presence of established, outspoken veterans on the squad (who are currently underperforming expectations), a lot of fans are crying scapegoat. Jordan and Cole think through what we know and what we don’t know about the situation, and discuss the legitimacy of the changes based on the balance. They also lay out the path for the remainder of the season and realize (in real time) that this is a team that is dancing close to catastrophe - will the Nukeduck change be the Bible in the middle to make sure it’s not TOO close??? Listen here. 100T Finishes 2nd in Summer Split - 100 Thieves LCS Summer 2022 Week 8 Recap

A miraculous thing happened this weekend: 100 Thieves dropped a game to FlyQuest and for once nobody gave a sermon preaching about why this means the team is a fraud. That means Jordan and Cole have less work to do on this end of regular season edition of 100Talk. The dads follow the thread of what we learned through 100T’s super week games and how the Thieves have learned to have a plan after getting punched in the mouth. They talk draft diffing quality opponents and debate which of the Thieves get All-LCS nods. And in light of the recent white-hot success of the org’s esports, discuss the winning culture that has been built at the CashApp Compound. Don’t forget - the dads always have time for their children, so listener takes and questions abound. It’s a good time to be a 100T fan, and a good time to 100Talk. Listen here.
